Publisher Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 4, 2026
1. About Publisher
Publisher is a web service operated by Olive Studios in Canada. It helps creators and businesses organize brands, prepare creative content, and plan and publish posts to social accounts they authorize. This policy covers Publisher at https://publisher.olivestudios.io and its related authentication, media and integration services. Eten and Petto have separate product policies.
For privacy questions, access or correction requests, and requests to delete Publisher information, contact [email protected] with “Publisher privacy” in the subject. This is our current shared product support address.
2. Information we process
- Account and workspace information: your sign-in identifier, email address, profile information supplied by the sign-in provider, workspace memberships, invitations, roles and permissions.
- Brand and content information: brand names, websites, descriptions, visual references, uploaded media, creative briefs, captions, draft posts, destination links, chosen boards, publishing schedules and approval decisions.
- Connected social account information: authorized account identifiers and names, granted permissions, access and refresh tokens, available boards, post identifiers, publication status and any reporting information retrieved through the authorized integration.
- Billing and usage information: subscription status, plan, Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, generation-credit usage, storage use, provider spending and billing-event records. Stripe processes payment details; Publisher does not store complete payment-card numbers.
- Service and security information: sign-in sessions, integration errors, publishing attempts, timestamps and administrative audit records used to operate and protect the service.
- Optional provider credentials: an OpenAI API key if you choose to use your own key for image generation.
3. How we use information
We use this information to authenticate users, maintain their workspaces, store and edit content, perform requested creative-generation jobs, connect social accounts, publish and schedule authorized posts, show delivery status, manage subscriptions and usage limits, provide support, investigate failures and protect accounts. Team features make relevant workspace information available to authorized members according to their roles.
4. Pinterest and other social integrations
Connecting Pinterest sends you to Pinterest's own authorization screen. Publisher requests access to your account profile, boards and Pins, including the permissions needed to create Pins and publish to boards you choose. Publisher uses the granted access for the publishing features you request and to load your available boards and publication information. We do not ask you to give Publisher your Pinterest password.
Your content, selected destination link and publication details are sent to the social platform when an authorized publishing job runs. Published content may be public under that platform's settings and policies. Connecting Instagram similarly uses the platform's authorization flow and permissions for the supported publishing and reporting features.
You can disconnect an integration in Publisher's Connections screen. This clears Publisher's stored connection credentials and stops subsequent publishing that requires that connection. You can also revoke access in the social platform's own settings. Disconnecting does not remove posts already published on a social platform or erase Publisher's past delivery and audit records. Use the platform's own controls for published posts, and contact support about deleting Publisher records.
5. Service providers and AI generation
Publisher uses Cloudflare for application hosting, database and media storage, Auth0 for sign-in, and Stripe for subscription payments and related billing. Google or Apple may provide sign-in information when you choose those methods. Connected social platforms process information under their own policies.
When you request an AI-assisted feature, the prompt, relevant brand information, caption text and any selected reference images needed for that job may be sent to the provider used by that feature. Publisher's image-generation integration uses OpenAI; its caption-generation integration uses Google's Gemini service. If you supply your own provider key, Publisher uses it for jobs you request with that billing option. Avoid including information in prompts or reference images that you do not want sent to the selected provider. Availability of a feature depends on the configured service and your plan.
We share information with these providers as needed to deliver the service, with authorized workspace members, when you direct us to publish or connect an integration, and when required to comply with law or protect the service. We do not sell personal information.
6. Storage, retention and security
Publisher uses encrypted storage for saved social access tokens, refresh tokens and customer-provided API keys, and account-based authorization for customer data. No service can guarantee absolute security.
We retain account and content information while it is needed to provide the service, and retain relevant billing, security and audit information for legal, accounting, dispute-resolution and operational purposes. Retention also depends on the information and any applicable obligations. Deletion requests may require identity verification. Information may persist in backups or records we are required to keep, and we will explain applicable limits when handling a request.
7. Cookies and international processing
Publisher uses cookies and similar session mechanisms for authentication, workspace selection and access controls. Blocking these can prevent sign-in or normal use. Our providers and connected platforms may process information in countries outside Canada, where privacy laws may differ. Their processing is also governed by their own terms and policies.
8. Your choices and requests
You can edit supported profile, brand and content details in Publisher, choose what you upload and publish, manage authorized workspace access, disconnect social accounts, and manage your subscription through the available billing controls. Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion or other privacy rights by emailing [email protected]. We will verify your identity when needed and respond as required by applicable law. Billing cancellation and a privacy deletion request are separate actions.
9. Policy changes
We will update this page when Publisher's practices change. The date above identifies the published revision. For questions or privacy requests, email [email protected] and identify Publisher.
